Hometown Metric Show = Love

Took my vintage Leica M3 film camera to Field Trip at the beginning of June. Didn’t really have a plan, wanted to catch a decent film shot of my favourite band in ‘our’ home town. Can’t say I nailed it, I had 7 frames left on the roll of film and it was dark and with no meter and being close enough but not too close I guessed at the metering, focused and composed then held the camera up to shoot over the heads in font of me… anyway, these two capture the band as they hit the stage to a heartfelt welcome. I wish the band was a bit sharper but with the stage fog and lighting they’re a little washed out. These images off low res scans so when I create hi-res scans I might get a bit more detail… will see.

Was a fantastic show with Metric taking us back to 2009 and playing Fantasies start to finish.

Thanks Metric! Much love!
