Moore Park Ravine Walk

Spent a couple of hours on a hot Sunday afternoon walking though the ravine in my my neighbourhood. I tend to think of this as the Summerhill Ravine but apparently it’s officially the Moore Park Ravine…   Hiked up and down the face of the ravine under the rail bridge and the bridge over St. Clair Avenue East.  Lots of graffiti down there.  I encountered a Coyote and have a really bad grainy picture  snapped quickly as I moved out of sight.  I also encountered one family who were on the far side of the creek.  Their picture turned out better.

My lens this day was my Canon 100mm Macro which came in handy on the image of the ant and it worked well on the graffiti on the bridge however a 35mm might have been the better choice to get some more landscape type shots of the trees and creek.  Oh well, the light was mixed bright and shady, very spotty, so not ideal. Staying tight with the long lens macro did the trick.

Here a few scenes from down in the ravine.
