Urbanity, Ducks and the Lake at Night

The second of my weekend photowalks took me west toward High Park.  I took the subway out to Keele Station and exited via the car park exit.  The back alley there is full of cool graffiti murals.  I love how the cars in the Midas picture all are facing the wall as if in some sort of drive in church.  Just around the corner from the alley is Toronto’s fabulous High Park.  I spent sometime hanging with the ducks at Grenadier Pond as night drew in.  I had my tripod and remote shutter with me so set up for some long exposure night photos.  Most of these were a disaster as I am a neophyte when it comes to night shots and finding focus wasn’t easy; however, a couple down by the lake tuned out quite nice.

It’s amazing how one can go from urbanity into nature in a matter of minutes.
